National anthem of Japan: Kimigayo

The Japanese national anthem was written by Traditional Waka poem from the Kokin Wakashū (first published in 905) and composed by Yoshiisa Oku and Akimori Hayashi; usually credited to Hiromori Hayashi.

きみが代よは 千代ちよに八千代やちよに 細さざれ石いしの 巌いわおとなりて 苔こけの生むす迄
